One week to go

And it's getting a bit scary! Last bit of shit to hit us is the thieving by Dan of the deposit to pay his 3 months of unpaid rent. The best bit was seeing him the day after i was sent this news carrying two pizzas and grinning at us. What a prick. Or the 6ft locust as i have taken to calling him. I have the up-most pity for whichever poor sap is allowing him to live with them.

Any way. Been finding homes for Bens white goods, and have people over tomorrow, im trying to pack but im not really feeling motivated which is weird as i cant wait to get out of this house of misery. Il get it done in time but i feel like i should be working at a greater rate of knots.

Office boy update, all is well and that i don't want to kill him which is good and we've had the chat about me needing space to chill out on my own and he gets it. I'm all a bit smitten :)

Uh oh trouble at work

I'm going to give the short version of this.

So i went in on Sat because i need the cash and i was chatting away to a friend of mine. Now i have got into trouble for chatting before but Saturdays are supposed to be more relaxed and a bit more fun. There is a man that is a manager. We shall call him James. He is a complete ass hole. Has no people skills at all. I walked past him to pop to the loo and he says to a supervisor "oh and watch her". I stopped and asked what he meant and he said that i wasn't working hard enough. He then went on to comment on my work performance and poor results recently in front of the the other members of staff. He also said that he was considering not allowing my friend and i to work on Saturdays.

I walked into the toilet seething. The James does not mention the other people i was sat with just me. I told the friend what he had said and he was also angry. James eventually comes over and tells us we are talking too much and "we are not paid to chat and have fun". Now at this point i was fucking pissed. On reflection i should have just let it go...however i can never keep my mouth shut and after James had finished i said "can i just say something? I would appreciate it if you didn't comment on my work performance in front of other members of staff, i would have preferred it if you had come over here and said something i did it in another room".

Uh oh

Well that set the whole thing off and he asked me if i was complaining about his management skills. I suppose i was but before i had time to answer he told me to meet him in the conference room to discuss it. I went in, sat down and he basically yelled at me for 15 minutes telling me i was shit and when i eventually got a word in edgeways to tell him that i had no problem with him telling me he wasn't happy with my work but it was in the way in which he said said it i got more of an ear bashing. I explained i have never been in trouble at work before and this was the first time i had ever been spoken to like this and i was asked "why are you even bothering to defend yourself?". What the fuck? Really? The best bit is when he said that what he had said to me in the first instance was a message to all of the people sat at my pod (no it wasn't) and when i said "well i am sorry if i misconstrued what your message was" he said "well you've said sorry now and that means you admit it. Go and get back to work" :|

Say what?

Can't wait till Monday, apparently he has sent an email to my supervisor to discuss my behaviour (he hate James) and he will be picking over my Saturday scores to decide whether i can work Saturdays again. Sigh. Why me eh?

Everything is just swell

No really. No i am serious...Yes really!

Office boy and i are a real couple now (i've not changed it on facebook though, i'm too cool for that shit...) and things are floating along fine. He met scary Ben today and was so nervous he managed to spill tea everywhere. Coupled with my Nazi kitchen tendencies (No no no don't stir it...argh put that down...what are you doing???) he coped well and Ben gave the seal of approval. It means more then anything to me that any new boy gets on with my friends, and i know we as a group are a little...well autistic so i am happy.

The cat has found a new home and goes tomorrow. This makes me sad. Very sad. Ben is also sad. I think i will cry when the handover happens tomorrow but it is for the best. Captain Chesley B Sullenburger the 3rd we salute you.

The move is creeping up very quickly and i am starting to sort all those bits and pieces that i am assuming you need to do. This is my first grown up move and il be honest i am shitting myself. It's my first place to live that isn't a shared house where i can rely on others to do the bills and buy milk, it's all me. I will be fine, i have the best support around but this is a new adventure for me! Apparently the cool tv Ben bought has got a Digi box built in! So il just have to sort out some internet. I don't know where to start but i have mates that do...or at least claim they do :D

Finally there is a job at work that i am apparently a "shoe in" for. It's not exciting but its a step up with a pay rise so fingers crossed for me.

Happiness Happiness

I have to say the last two weeks i have really sorted myself out, Ive been quite the social butterfly, made new friends at work, met a lovely guy, moving in 3 weeks and generally just feeling quiet positive and happy with life.

Of course there are a a few things hanging over our heads. A couple of bills that still haven't been paid, not sure where the cat is going to live and i'm worried Mike is going to struggle finding house mates for this place and whether the fact that bills aren't being paid are going to bite him in the ass but if Ben and i are paid up in our share there isn't much else that can be done. I just pray that Dan does the right thing instead of making someone's life difficult who has never done anything to him. We shall see.
