So other people built forts before us?

What a conundrum

Not sure that's how you spell it but never mind.

I saw the new Tarantino film last night. I really want to talk about it but i don't want to ruin it for anyone. Lets just say the ending made me laugh yet fill me with a whole heap of anger and bewilderment. WTF sums it up pretty nicely.

Work is going really really well, not much to report but my now school girl crush on one of the SHO's with the BEST Dr name ever. I wish i could share it. Life is good too. Spending time with the hippy (yes my new nick name for him which makes him mad, ah ha ha ha ha ha) and not bored/annoyed with him yet so that is a bonus. I feel i may be neglecting my Ben though but i am sure he is secretly happy for the piece and quiet.

We made a fort the other night pictures to follow. Yes a 22 year old and a 31 on year old watched Charlie Brooker in a fort made of duvets, sofas and cushions. Rock and fucking roll.

A middle aged women in pigtails should not be taken seriously.

This is a life lesson i have lived by for a long time. Pig tails on anyone over 30 should not be tolerated. You're a professional for christs sake

Anyway i started my new job on Monday as a ward clerk in one of the major hospitals. Now for obvious reasons i won't say which one (i'm onto you whistle blowing cocks)so i shall remain to be vague. Anyway so far so good, i am receiving minimal training for a job that hasn't had anyone full time for about 2 years. The ward also moved recently so no one can find anything and i haven't a hope in hell in learning what i need to do quickly. I haven't clerked since i did two days as part of my nurse training 2 years ago and don't remember a thing. I'm sent to train in things that i don't even need to know, i haven't been given access to passwords on the computer and after 3 days nurses are already asking me to do things that i don't know how to do...phew.

However i have two lovely ladies at the end of the phone who are also clerks and are helping me out no end with anything i ask. It's going to be a struggle but i shall get there in the end i am sure...and if not i'l have to go crawling back to that old shitbox job of mine...no i think i would actually rather eat a turd then go back there. I also get to go to work "smart casual", no i wasn't told this, i asked about uniform and no one could help me so i went on what everyone else was wearing. This means i need to go shopping, no easy thing to do when the £100 i get paid on Friday from my last pay check will have to last me till the end of Sept.

In other news i have (again) decided that i need to lose weight, i feel really unfit and downright crappy about the way i look and i want to impress my new man friend who "loves the way" i look but some how i struggle to believe him. Yes that is my own insecurities not him but i think it's time to seriously sort myself lest Eskimos hunt me down and use my bulk for perfumes, candles and other luxury products.

Sigh, i will do this time, really really!

Hobby horse Charlie.

Apart from blogging and riding the ponies i don't seem to have any hobbies. This is a subject that has been cropping up a lot recently and although i have the ability to moan about it alot (a talent that has also been brought to my attention, but all you lovely ladies know i am trying to resolve this) ii haven't really taken any great steps to resolve this. The role playing never really got off the ground and to be quite honest id feel awful for anyone that has to teach me anything more complicated then tying my shoe laces.

So after chatting with a few forum friends (yes friends on the internet at 22, perhaps i need to sort that out first!!) and i have decided on trying out crochet and amateur photography. Both are good as i already have the equipment and i have people to cry to when it all goes wrong. I have made a pact that i will take my camera everywhere for one week and send the pact maker the results to see whats good etc. I am yet to make a deal over the crochet but i want to have something made by chrsitmas. It doesnt have to be good mind.

Lastly i have a stack of books to get through so i think one book a month is a fairly relaxed goal...the plan is to be knitting a photographing so much that i dont have time to read but we shall see, especially as i can see my social life perking up a great deal if all goes well...cue eyebrow wiggle.

Any hints or tips lemmie know :D

The pros and cons of working for an agency

Pros;
I get a lot of time off
This means i can do more baking
I can do what i please
I can wear what i like
My job isn't hard
I dont have to take it home with me
It's 9-5

Cons;
I've been sent home early more or less everyday the last 3 weeks
This means i don't get paid
Which means i have no money
Which means i can't do anything nice with all this time off
Baking makes me fat...so fat.
I waste a lot of my time walking back and forth to a job i don't even like.
People that i work for don't seem to grasp that £180 a week is a small wage, £100 is worse.

Bah.

Mother

My mother came to visit today, i haven't seen her since Feb so i was excited to see her! We went to a pub for lunch and shared the most DELICIOUS platter! Camembert, toasted bread, duck and hoi sin in a flat bread, hummus, salsa, wedges, cucumber, carrots, calamari and red onion chutney! She also bought me cake tins, a bread tin, picture hooks and from home home, mirrors, books and picture frames!

Phew!

I'm so full but very happy. Hee hee.
