Went to see some bands last night and they were all awesome. Palehorse, Big Naturals and the amazing Baroness. Having never seen or heard any of these bands before i was apprehensive but i was not disappointed in the slightest, especially with the Big Naturals who were a two (sometimes three) piece band comprising of a Drummer and a bassist. I'l let Ben properly pick apart the gig because i don't have the musical knowledge but i left very very happy.
The moans however (its me i do this)the first one is couples. If you go to see a band with your better half thats great! Share something you love together. Please, however don't stand in front of me talking the whole way through obscuring my view, it really irritates me, we are all hear to listen and watch the band not have a conversation.
Secondly the long haired head bangers. I have no problem with it per say but when you are the only one head banging and everyone else isn't please move to the area with your kindred spirits in. I can't see because i have hair in my eyes, i can't open my mouth because i have hair in my mouth, i can't stand because every time you really get your groove on end up trodden on and i can't drink my drink because you hair is getting wrapped around my fingers.
Mobile phones. I am sure your mates are really jealous that you are watching a band but don't text them in a gig, the light is bright and distracting and unnecessary. Not to mention it is bloody bad manners to text when a band is performing. You wouldn't do it at an office meeting would you?
Dropping glasses and bottles on the floor. Yeah its annoying having to hold them but there is shelving all around the area, that's what it's there for. I don't enjoy standing on broken glass and i'm sure the staff hate picking it up.
This one is for Maz, metal dick waving. The art of trying to "out metal" each other. Guys just enjoy the show, who cares if you have better claws hands, better headbanging skills and better t-shirts? Chill out!

There was a guy who did all those things and as the night went on the urge to punch him in the back of his head grew ever stronger. It was an awesome and very powerful gig and all the bands involved sounded amazing.
Mmmmm, Baizley.
