I'm not a clean freak but...

This is something that has really getting on my tits recently...it's dirty, rude, anti social and makes me so angry i audibly grumble when it happens...no its not Warhammer it's SNEEZING.

"Sneezing?" i hear you say, "what could possibly piss you off about sneezing?" well it isn't the act itself that annoys me it is the pure selfishness and disregard for your fellow man that about 90% of the population seem to possess.

I work in a large, open plan office and to get anywhere you more or less have to walk down the middle of it. We all share a kitchen where we all have access to tea, coffee and milk and this is often left uncovered. Not usually a problem. We share a toilet with another level. Again not normally an issue.

However

The people i work with don't seem to have got to grips with covering their damn mouths when they sneeze. Or cough and yawn for that matters. I saw a girl today yawn 6 times in a row and did not cover her mouth once. I could pretty much see what she had for lunch. She looked like a braying donkey, quite a feat for someone who is actually quite pretty.

Everyday i set there surrounded by peoples disgusting germs being expelled at 100 miles an hour into the air conditioning system ready to be pumped out right where i sit. People cough over computers, telephones, keyboards, they transfer these germs to door handles, the tea bags, spoons and ironically now the fresh fruit i look forward to on a Monday and Friday now has the potential to lose me a week of earnings through sickness. Seriously where were these peoples parents and teachers to tell them that "coughs and sneezes spread diseases" so cover your great, germ ridden mouth with your hand or a hankie (if you enjoyed being bullied in school for carrying one)and save the rest of us.

I never used to be like this and yes this because of the swine flu going around but if i am honest as much as i would love to have a week off, i don't get paid for that. I'm not worried i'm going to die but i do have friends with young children and if i catch this disease and pass it to them it's those imbeciles at works fault. They have had 3 cases of confirmed flu so far and probably countless more that have been put down to a hangover or similar and yet they are still not taking any precautions to not spread it to others.

Yes i am just moaning again but this is really starting to get to me. Maybe i am over reacting but quite frankly i don't see why it has to be so hard, i managed it as a kid and those skills have transferred into adulthood. I'm doing my bit so why can't everyone else.

Grumble
